Typical Zoho WhatsApp tool vs. this one

Most "Zoho WhatsApp" tools are external SaaS apps that push messages into Zoho by API. Your team still lives in two places. This one is a Zoho Marketplace extension — installed inside Zoho CRM, running on Zoho's own settings surface, tied to your Zoho org.

Each of these is visible in the real product screenshots below. Not a roadmap.

Native to Zoho

Lives under Zoho Setup → Marketplace

Installed from the Zoho Marketplace like any Zoho extension. Opens inside the CRM. No new browser tab, no re-authentication, no separate SaaS to remember.

Transparent wallet

Prepaid credits, itemised by message type

Marketing, Utility and Authentication credits shown separately. Available balance updates in real time. Daily usage table. Export summary. No mystery invoicing.

Self-service billing

Subscription + billing history in one tab

See your plan, next billing date, auto-renewal state and every paid invoice back to install. Change plan or cancel without a support ticket.

Template review live

Meta approval status shown in Zoho

Approved / Rejected badges next to every template. No copy-paste from Meta Business Manager. Edits are re-reviewed by Meta and the state updates in place.

Chat widget everywhere

Conversation panel floats on any Zoho screen

The Conversations widget is available across Zoho CRM screens. Read and reply to WhatsApp without leaving the Zoho record you’re working on.

Real flow — Zoho lead to WhatsApp broadcast to CRM response

One end-to-end loop: from Zoho record to Meta-approved template to per-recipient delivery report — without leaving Zoho CRM.

1

Install Go4WhatsApp from the Zoho Marketplace. Extension appears under Setup → Marketplace → Installed with tabs: Overview, Templates, Campaigns, Wallet, Configuration, Subscription.

2

Connect Meta Business Account & register a WhatsApp number. Extension header shows “API APPROVED” once Meta validates. Business name + phone number become visible on Overview.

3

Create a Meta-approved template. Basics (name, language, category) + Content (text or image / video / document header + body + optional buttons). Live WhatsApp preview updates as you type. Submit → Meta reviews → status flips to Approved.

4

Top up your prepaid wallet. Add credits screen shows real-time balance. Message-type breakdown makes cost projection sane (Marketing vs Utility vs Authentication priced separately).

5

Broadcast to a Zoho segment. Pick a template, pick a Zoho audience (leads / contacts / accounts, filtered by field). Schedule or send now. Campaign appears in the Campaigns list.

6

Read the per-recipient report. Campaign Details modal shows Total / Sent / Received / Read / Response / Not Sent / Duplicate. Tabs let you drill into each cohort with names + numbers + timestamps.

7

Reply from anywhere in Zoho. The Conversations widget floats on every Zoho screen. Reply inline — the message thread stays tied to the CRM record and the wallet debits at Meta’s per-conversation rate.

Common questions from Zoho teams

Real answers — from Zoho customers already running the extension in production.

Is this a Zoho Marketplace extension or a separate SaaS?

Native Zoho Marketplace extension. You install it from Zoho's marketplace like any Zoho extension. It opens inside Zoho CRM at Setup → Marketplace → Installed → Go4WhatsApp. Your team never leaves Zoho.

Which Zoho products does it work with?

Zoho CRM (Standard, Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate) is the primary target. Zoho Bigin and Zoho Desk are supported via companion setup. If your org uses multiple Zoho apps, the extension binds to your Zoho org so messages stay attached to the right record set.

How does the WhatsApp Business API approval work?

You connect a Meta Business Account and register a WhatsApp number. Meta reviews and approves the connection. Once done, the extension header shows an "API APPROVED" badge and the Overview surfaces your Quality Rating (GREEN / YELLOW / RED). Typical approval time: 24–72 hours end-to-end.

How does billing work — subscription plus per-message?

Two layers. First, a monthly subscription for the extension itself (visible in the Subscription tab with auto-renewal + billing history). Second, a prepaid message wallet: you top up credits and each WhatsApp message debits at Meta's published rate. Marketing, Utility and Authentication credits are tracked separately in the Wallet tab so cost forecasting stays honest.

What happens to templates that Meta rejects?

The template status flips to "REJECTED" in the Templates list. Edit the template and resubmit — changes are re-reviewed by Meta before going live. Rejected templates cannot be used in campaigns until Meta approves the revised version.

What does the per-recipient campaign report show?

For every broadcast: Total Members, Sent, Received, Read, Response, Not Sent, Duplicate. Each of those is a clickable tab that lists the recipients in that cohort with name, mobile number, and status timestamp (e.g., "Read at 8/22/2026 3:33:39 PM"). Full audit trail for compliance and re-marketing.

Can I broadcast to a Zoho custom filter?

Yes. The audience picker reads Zoho leads, contacts and accounts directly — no CSV exports. Filter by any Zoho field, save the audience, and reuse across campaigns.

Is customer data staying inside Zoho?

Customer records stay in your Zoho org. The extension reads Zoho data to build audiences + send WhatsApp messages, and writes inbound conversation data back to the correct Zoho record. Meta's WhatsApp Business API is the message transport layer. Signed DPA available; GDPR, DPDP Act 2023 and GCC PDPL compliant.
