Account & Data Deletion
Permanently delete your Go4whatsup or Go4bizz CRM account and the personal data we hold about you. Choose the in-app option for the fastest path, or email us if you no longer have access.

Which account is this for?
This page covers deletion of any of these:
- Go4whatsup web platform — accessed at app.go4whatsup.com
- Go4bizz CRM mobile app — Android (Google Play) and iOS (Apple App Store)
- Any account created via Sign-in with Google or single sign-on (SSO)
The same deletion request covers all three — they share the same identity layer.
Delete from inside the app (fastest)
On the web (Go4whatsup)
- Sign in at app.go4whatsup.com
- Click your profile in the top-right corner → Account Settings
- Scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom
- Click Delete my account
- Confirm with your password and the deletion phrase shown on screen
On the Go4bizz CRM mobile app
- Open the app and tap the menu (☰) in the top-left
- Tap Settings → Account
- Scroll down and tap Delete account
- Confirm with your fingerprint / passcode and the deletion phrase
The in-app flow processes immediately. You'll receive a confirmation email within 5 minutes.

Lost access to your account, no longer have the device, or your team admin has been removed? Write to:

Subject: Account deletion request
Include: The email address on the account, the company name, and (if known) the workspace ID or phone number that received WhatsApp messages.
We verify identity before deleting (to prevent malicious deletion requests) and respond within 1 business day. Full deletion completes within the timelines below.
What happens after you ask
- Within 24 hours: account is deactivated. You can no longer sign in. Active campaigns are stopped. Webhooks and API tokens are revoked.
- Within 30 days: personal profile data, conversation history, contact lists, custom fields, and uploaded media are permanently deleted from production systems.
- Within 90 days: data is purged from encrypted backups (we cannot delete from backups instantly because backups are immutable for restore safety; they roll forward and old generations expire on a 90-day cycle).
- Within 180 days: all derived analytics, logs, and aggregated metrics that referenced your account are anonymised or deleted.
If you need a written confirmation when each milestone completes, request it in your deletion email and we'll send dated confirmations.
What gets deleted
- Your name, email, phone, role, workspace name
- WhatsApp Business numbers, templates you created, broadcast lists, contact lists
- Conversation transcripts, media files (images, voice notes, documents) you sent or received
- Custom fields, tags, notes, and any custom-built automations
- API tokens, webhook URLs, and integration credentials
- Stored login devices, sessions, and 2FA recovery codes
- Any uploaded company assets (logos, signatures, document templates)
What we must retain (and why)
A small subset of data must be kept for legal, tax, or anti-fraud reasons even after deletion. None of it is used for marketing or shared with third parties:
- Billing & tax records — invoices, GST/VAT records, payment confirmations. Retained for 7 years as required by Indian Income Tax Act and UAE corporate-tax law. These records contain only the legal entity name, billing address, amounts, and tax IDs — not your platform usage data.
- Anti-fraud signals — hashed device fingerprints and abuse-flagged email/phone patterns. Retained for 2 years to prevent the same bad actor from re-registering. These are one-way hashes, not your contact details.
- Records of the deletion itself — a timestamped log proving when you requested deletion and when each step completed. Retained indefinitely as proof of compliance with your request.
Workspace vs. personal account
Go4whatsup is a multi-user product. Two scenarios:
You are the workspace owner
Deleting your account deletes the entire workspace and all its data — including conversations, contacts, and the data of any teammates you invited. We send a 7-day warning email to all teammates before this happens, so they can export anything they need first. If you want to delete your personal access without destroying the workspace, transfer ownership to another teammate first (Settings → Team → Transfer ownership).
You are a teammate (not the owner)
Deleting your account removes you from the workspace and deletes your personal data (name, login, devices, your individual API tokens). The workspace's shared data (conversations, contacts) stays with the owner because it belongs to their company, not to you personally. If you also want the shared data deleted, you must ask the workspace owner — we cannot unilaterally delete data the company owns.
WhatsApp / Meta data
Some of your WhatsApp data sits with Meta, not with us. When you delete your Go4whatsup account, we remove our copy of WhatsApp message metadata, but Meta retains message content under its own policy (typically up to 30 days). To delete data Meta holds about you, contact Meta directly via WhatsApp Help — we cannot delete Meta-side data on your behalf.
If you have a verified WhatsApp Business display name (green tick) tied to your Go4whatsup account, deleting the account does NOT automatically deregister the display name with Meta — that's a separate process you must complete in Meta Business Manager.
If you change your mind
Within the first 7 days after requesting deletion, you can cancel by emailing [email protected] with "Cancel deletion" in the subject. Your account is reactivated within 1 business day with no data loss.
After day 7, deletion is irreversible — your data is already being purged from production systems. To use Go4whatsup again, you would need to create a new account from scratch.
Your rights under DPDP / GDPR
Account deletion is one of several rights you have over your personal data. You can also:
- Export your data — request a machine-readable copy before you delete
- Correct inaccurate data — fix wrong information without deleting the account
- Withdraw consent — for marketing emails, optional analytics, or third-party integrations
- Object to processing — for any data we process on the basis of legitimate interest
- Lodge a complaint — with India's Data Protection Board, the EU supervisory authority for your country, or the UK Information Commissioner's Office
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected] with "DPDP request" in the subject. We respond within 30 days, free of charge for the first request in a 12-month period.
