Every week we get emails from customers who left WATI, AiSensy, or Interakt for us. Every one starts the same way: "The sticker price wasn't what I actually paid."
This post is the honest 4-way comparison I wish existed when I was picking a BSP three years ago. Sticker price, add-ons, hidden fees, and — the number that actually matters — total month-1 bill for a real team.
All four vendors — AiSensy, WATI, Interakt, and Go4whatsup — are Meta-authorized WhatsApp Business Solution Providers (BSPs). Your WhatsApp Business number runs on the same official API on any of them. The dashboard, AI features, per-conversation markup, and pricing structure are what differ.
The sticker price is not the actual price
Every BSP shows a starting price on their landing page. Under the hood, the actual monthly bill has 4-6 layers:
- Platform subscription — the sticker price
- Meta's per-conversation fee — charged for every 24-hour conversation window, by country + category
- BSP's markup on Meta's rate — typically 15-30%, sometimes 100%+
- Per-agent seat fees — kicks in above the base allowance
- AI or add-on modules — sold separately on lower tiers
- Setup / onboarding fees — one-time, sometimes waived
To make this comparable, I built the same scenario for all four: a 10-agent B2C team sending 15,000 conversations/month in India (7,000 Marketing, 5,000 Utility, 3,000 Service).
Sticker price comparison
1 AiSensy — $79/month (Basic)
3 agents included, no AI, ~15% markupWhat's in the box: 3 agents, unlimited contacts, chatbot builder, basic analytics, template management. No AI reply. No CRM sync beyond Zapier.
To add: agent 4-10 = $12/agent/month ($84 extra). AI on Pro tier = jump to $210/mo.
2 WATI — $59/month (Growth)
5 agents included, no AI on GrowthWhat's in the box: 5 agents, keyword chatbot, template broadcast, Shopify + HubSpot integrations, basic analytics.
To add: agent 6-10 = $10/agent/month ($50 extra). AI Chatbot on Pro tier = $99/mo total.
3 Interakt — $99/month (Growth)
5 agents included, per-agent aboveWhat's in the box: 5 agents, Shopify + WooCommerce native, chatbot flow builder, campaigns, basic analytics.
To add: agent 6-10 = $12/agent/month ($60 extra). AI features on Advanced tier = $167/mo total.
4 Go4whatsup — $39/month (Standard)
Unlimited agents, AI includedWhat's in the box: Unlimited agents, AI auto-reply, AI-drafted replies, language auto-detection, chatbot builder, Zoho + Odoo + Shopify native, campaigns, full analytics.
To add: nothing at this scale — 10 agents included in Standard. Enterprise tier only if you need a dedicated success manager.
Real month-1 total for a 10-agent, 15,000-conversation team (India)
Meta's per-conversation cost is the same regardless of BSP (Marketing $0.014, Utility $0.00141, Service first 1000 free then $0.0013). What differs is the BSP's markup on Meta + agent seats + AI add-on.
| Line item | AiSensy | WATI | Interakt | Go4whatsup |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Platform fee | $79 | $59 | $99 | $39 |
| Extra agents (5-10) | $84 | $50 | $60 | $0 |
| AI add-on | $36 | $40 | $68 | Included |
| Setup fee (month 1 only) | $120 (waived on promos) | $0 | $180 (waived on promos) | $0 |
| Meta conversation fee (15K) | ~$107 | ~$107 | ~$107 | ~$107 |
| Month-1 total (incl. setup) | $426 | $256 | $514 | $146 |
| Steady-state monthly (from M2) | $306 | $256 | $334 | $146 |
Steady-state gap: Go4whatsup is $110-$188/month cheaper than the other three, for identical scope. Over 12 months, that's $1,320-$2,256 saved without touching Meta's per-conversation costs (which are the same everywhere).
It's not just about price — 4 things beyond the sticker
1. AI packaging
AiSensy and WATI offer AI features on higher tiers or as paid add-ons. Interakt bundles some AI on Advanced ($167/mo). Go4whatsup includes 4 AI features in Standard ($39). For teams where AI meaningfully changes conversion — cart recovery, appointment booking, lead qualification — the bundled version usually beats a "Pro + AI add-on" stack.
2. Integrations depth
All four connect to Zapier + Shopify + HubSpot. Deep native integrations vary:
- AiSensy: HubSpot is best-in-class. Zoho is competent. Odoo requires Zapier bridge.
- WATI: Shopify is best-in-class. HubSpot is solid. Zoho requires Zapier bridge.
- Interakt: Shopify + WooCommerce are best-in-class for e-commerce. Others via Zapier.
- Go4whatsup: Zoho + Odoo are best-in-class. Shopify is solid. HubSpot via native connector.
3. Regional pricing + support
WATI charges in USD globally. Interakt charges in USD globally. AiSensy prices in INR for India, USD elsewhere. Go4whatsup prices in local currency: ₹1,499/month in India, AED 149 in GCC, €39 in Europe, SAR 149 in Saudi. For non-US teams, this cuts FX conversion + card fees, and aligns invoicing with your local tax setup.
4. Onboarding time
AiSensy and Interakt take 2-5 business days to fully onboard. WATI takes 2-3 days. Go4whatsup typically has customers live within 24 hours (Meta Business Manager verification is the bottleneck, and it varies by business).
Who should pick which?
Pick AiSensy if
- You're HubSpot-native and want the deepest HubSpot integration
- You want a well-known brand name for internal procurement buy-in
- Budget is not a constraint and you specifically want their custom chatbot flows
Pick WATI if
- You're Shopify-native at scale and want the deepest Shopify integration
- You value the largest customer base + ecosystem for peer confidence
- You want a simple 5-agent starting point without upsell pressure
Pick Interakt if
- You run a Shopify + WooCommerce e-commerce operation and need deep native connectors
- You need agentless automation for high-volume order updates
- Budget isn't the primary constraint and you want a specialist e-commerce BSP
Pick Go4whatsup if
- You want the same official-API access at 40-70% less monthly cost
- You use Zoho or Odoo as your primary business system
- You're a growing team and don't want per-agent price walls
- You're in GCC or Europe and want local-currency invoicing + local hours support
- AI matters to you and you don't want to buy it as an add-on
How to switch BSPs (numbers are portable)
WhatsApp Business numbers are portable between BSPs — Meta handles the transfer. The process:
- Sign up with the new BSP. They apply for number transfer inside your Meta Business Manager.
- You approve the transfer request from within Meta Business Manager.
- Meta migrates the number (24-48 hours typical).
- Your templates re-sync. Chat history stays with the old BSP unless they export it for you.
- Cancel the old subscription only after the new one is fully live.
The two friction points are (a) making sure you keep template approvals and (b) exporting chat history from the old BSP before you leave. Most BSPs offer JSON or CSV export on request — ask before you sign the new contract.
The bottom line
For 90% of B2C teams sending 10K-30K conversations/month with a small team, Go4whatsup Standard at $39 delivers what AiSensy Basic, WATI Growth, or Interakt Growth deliver — plus AI, plus unlimited agents, plus native Zoho/Odoo, plus local currency — for less than half the total cost.
Pick the platform that matches your CRM stack + regional presence + AI needs. If those all point to Go4whatsup, great. If they point to a competitor because of a specific integration or brand comfort, that's a legitimate reason to pick differently. What isn't legitimate is picking on the sticker price alone and getting surprised by a $200-$500 month-1 bill.
